Statement from 4201 Schools Association Co-Chair Bernadette Kappen:

“The 4201 Schools Association is grateful for the additional $1.5 million included the final enacted budget for our schools. In addition, the $30 million capital investment will support health and safety projects to ensure that our buildings and campuses – many of which have been around for over 100 years – can continue meeting the needs of our communities. We applaud Education Committee Chairs Senator Mayer and Assemblyman Benedetto, as well as Governor Hochul and the entire Legislature, for their ongoing commitment to our students and for investing in our efforts to support the increasingly diverse needs of our children.”

The 4201 Schools Association represents 11 schools located in Erie, Monroe, Westchester, Bronx, Kings, Queens, Nassau, and Suffolk counties. The schools support nearly 1,400 students who are blind, deaf, and severely physically disabled from across New York State, and are nationally recognized for their expertise and achievement.
