September marked the return of our students for the start of the new school year. The first to ring the bell on September 2 was the Henry Viscardi School (Nassau County), Cleary School for the Deaf (Suffolk County) and St. Mary’s School for the Deaf (Erie County). Each of our schools has now opened and we are following strict guidelines to ensure students, staff and the entire community remain safe by following various state and federal guidelines.

The 2020-21 school year was unlike any other we had faced – and we adapted – knowing that the classroom is where children belong we hopeful, that our learning environment remains direct and on campus. To take a look back – please view our salute to the Class of 2020 – and our acknowledgment the statewide focus and commitment to the children and families we serve.
