Association Chair Dr. Bernadette Kappen joined The Capitol Pressroom this week to ask Governor Hochul to amend her proposed cut in funding for the Association’s 11 schools serving students who are blind, deaf, or severely physically disabled across New York State. Dr. Kappen also discussed the need for a 6% increase in total state aid and additional resources to help retain the specially trained workforce at each of the 4201 schools.
